Rythm Bot not working

Here are some tips to help you when your Rythm Bot is not working as expected:

1. Check the Volume of Rythm Bot

A common reason for Rythm Bot not working as expected and not playing any sounds is that the volume of the bot might have been set to 0. You can quickly check this if you perform a right-click on the Rythm Bot and find out if the volume bar is empty/left. If so, the volume 0 and you can slide the bar to the right to increase volume and determine if that's the solution to your problem.

2. Make sure that Rythm Bot is not muted

Another reason that you cannot hear anything from Rythm Bot is that it might have been muted for a specific channel or server-wide. This can usually only be accomplished by members with advanced permissions such as moderators, administrators, or server owner. If one of these muted the Rythm Bot, there sadly isn't much that you can do.

Suppose you have the corresponding privileges/permissions, e. g. you are a moderator, you can right-click on the bot and see if it is muted.

3. Disconnect and Add Rythm Bot

If you are the server owner and have problems with Rythm Bot not working, you can try to disconnect the bot from your server and invite it again, for example, as described above. This is is basically trial and error but might help in situations where you are unsure why something is not working.

4. Rejoin the Channel

If you are not the server owner or administrator but just a regular member, you can try to leave the channel if Rythm Bot isn't working for you and rejoin it after a few minutes. Sometimes this helps, but most likely, there is another reason why the bot isn't working. Nonetheless, it is worth trying.

5. Check Audio Settings in Discord App

Sometimes the Discord App's audio settings are what stands in the way of Rythm Bot working correctly. So open the audio settings and check if the right audio output is selected, for example, your headphones or stereo boxes. Also, check if you have somehow set the volume to zero, for example, accidentally with your keyboard.

6. Check Audio Settings of your computer

Another common reason why Rythm Bot isn't playing any sounds is your audio settings. So check the settings on your windows, macOS or Linux machine and see if the volumes are set to zero. Also, double-check that the right output is selected, e. g. your headphones.

7. Check if Rythm Bot is offline

The last thing you could check is if Rythm Bot or the Rythm Bot server is offline. This happens from time to time due to maintenance or unexpected outages. The best way to check this is by typing !invite and then selecting the official Discord option. You can then have a look at the #outages channel and find out if the Rythm Bot is currently having any outages/issues.
